French/European Knuckle Dusters Boxer Patent

Boxer
I really like these, these have been around for a long time from what I can make out. obviously these are still being cast today but I have seen some really old versions of this. These are available in Brass or Aluminium and have some nice markings on them they say Boxer on one side and patent on the other. They also have a spike on the end of the two middle knuckle holes and on the side of the two outer finger holes. They are comfortable to hold too and the brass ones have a nice weight to them I don't have the aluminium ones yet but will get them in time

These are now available from the US in the cheap crappy looking belt buckle type with removable pin made of stainless steel and either gold or chrome plated and they don't have boxer or patent wrote on them. My advise would be if possible to buy a real brass or aluminium one.

To anon I also picked up a pair for £20. They were dark black till I cleaned them to reveal the brass. Great weight and never let me down. Well worth the price.

I have 3 knuckle dusters, I have 1 pair just like the Boxer Patent but without the studs on the knuckles. My oldest is stamped 1918 PD, assuming Police Department as they issued a pair to officers in Chicago back then. Where would I find a pair of these as you have, with the studs. I only find the cheap version, years ago I seen an online store offering new versions that were stamped. Can you help?
Thanks...agan@cableone.net

Nice collection!
I've been increasingly becoming a fan of knucles duster since I started watching the TV series "Copper".
I'm also an airsofter, starting a reenactment project, of WWII British Commandos, and I just found out that some men in some units used to carry knucke dusters, as most of the fighting in the raids they carried out was done door to door.
Can someone please indicate me to where in Europe can I acquire a pair of those vintage knuckle dusters?
Here's my email, if someone can help: flaviopqr@sapo.pt

In eastern europe you can find many. For example patent boxer knuckle dusters were the duty equipment of hungarian police (Magyar Királyi Csendőrsèg) between the two world wars.In common these tools called 'csendőrboxer' in hungarian.
